A Prayer for Focus

Dear God,

I thank you for who you are. You are a great God and your mercies are new every morning. Father God I thank you for the gift of spiritual discernment. I ask that you help me to recognize when to use this gift so that I can determine the difference between what is relevant or not. Prevent me from falling into any traps and remove any distractions from my path. Help me not to focus on the things that I see around me that are deterring me from my purpose. But instead help me to keep my HEART and my MIND focused on you in every circumstance. Because I know that your wonderful power is made perfect in my weakness, help me to fully grasp that I have the tenacity and the strength to continue to work on my goals and that my goals are in alignment with your will. Grant me the wisdom and guidance to make healthy choices in every area of life. Allow me to put my pride to the side and to put my complete trust in you. Lord I thank you for answering this prayer.

In Jesus Name,

Amen.
